While I'd love to go off on a tangent right about now about some deep thought that I'm into at the moment, the fact is that I feel rather burnt out lately in that regard. Aside from angsty stuff and how there's always something pissing me off, I don't have anything that's really thought inspiring aside from my strange dreams which never cease to amaze me.

I'm working full time at an Apple call center as an "Advisor" for AppleCare. It's a pretty good job once you get into the swing of things, you learn to multitask like crazy and are allowed to do your casual browsing as long as it doesn't get in the way of work which means I could possibly be on the phone to a client, checking the desktop (via Mac's Spaces feature) that has Twitter on it and then going over the appropriate Knowledge Base article that'll help the person on the other end.

It's daunting as hell at first though, I have to learn Snow Leopard from scratch, and also offer support for the previous versions (Leopard and Tiger) while being able to keep my call times to around 15 minutes. Other people seem to manage this just fine, but then again my experience with what I'm offering support for is limited before the massive amount of training they dump on us, which is in fact pretty awesome. 38 hours a week, casual rates and quite a few interesting benifets. (I should also add that on a side note, it's HIGHLY annoying switching between the two because I either hit the Alt key on Windows instead of Cmd or the Option key instead of the Mac key on OSX... ffffff)

Can't complain really! It's helping me save up a heap for when I decide that I want to move out of this little crap hole, preferably something slightly north or east of the CBD so it's nice and close. Whether I actually want to do my own apartment (and rent that out) just yet or go with more flatmates at someone elses place is undecided... I guess I'll cross that bridge when I come to it, since I need another $3000 to easily cover a fridge, washing machine and furniture. Gah!

My cosplay stuff for Matt seems to be coming along, I've received my gloves and boots and just need to wait for the wig and goggles and of course, the bid for this shirt that I'm after to draw to a close... everything should be set for Easter when I'll really need this stuff!

On the topic of spending money, it seems my computer wants to play up a lot lately. I've got 4 1GB sticks and if I try and use the performance profile on them, my motherboard just chucks a fit because I can't do that AND have all four slots populated. Fuck. Looks like I'll be selling off two of them and throwing the other two into another rig that I'm setting up which will let me get the same RAM, except in two 2GB sticks.

That'll let me decide if I want to buy Bioshock 2, Alien vs Predator, Battlefield Bad Company 2.. I really don't want to buy all three since I have too many games already x_x.

Overall, I can't complain as much as I normally would.. I'm pretty happy overall!
